Secret Gardens of Laramie

Our sixth annual tour

July 18, 2009: For more information, contact Pat Kiovsky (patkiovsky[at]aol[dot]com).

Come see several beautiful gardens around town.

Tickets will be available in mid June at various locations in Laramie.

Previous tours have showcased gardens on the west side of Laramie, gardens in the sheltered Tree Area, and those out on the windswept edges of town. Laramie may not be the easiest place in the country to grow things, but it is home to a diverse and dedicated group of gardeners. Come to this year's tour and see another group of outstanding and creative gardens!
Proceeds from the Secret Gardens of Laramie are used to support a specific project. Earnings from three of the tours have gone toward the landscaping on the north side of the Albany County Courthouse. With the support from the citizens of Laramie, who use the tour for inspiration, and from the gardeners who kindly allow us to see the fruits of their labors, the Garden Club has contributed more than $12,000 to this project.

The visual appeal of the Secret Gardens extends beyond the lovely plants and garden structures, as each year the garden tours have highlighted the works of various local artists. A reception with refreshments in one of the gardens has also been a popular feature of the tours.

Garden owners and Garden Club members are available in the gardens to answer any questions and help with plant identification.
